Houston Texas Cracks Me Up!!!

My niece was on the news this morning. She won 1st place on the 11 best Halloween costume contest. The problem.... I don't think she was wearing a costume. She is standing in a Pumpkin Patch. Cracks me up. Here's the link to her news story...

Toes In The Water....... Toes In The Sand........

• We went on a cruise last week. I booked it for $249.00 a person.
• The catch, we had to drive to New Orleans.
• It was a great road trip. Micah did very well for 10 hours in a car.
• We drove up the day before.
• We took I20 in and then let our Garmin lead the way.
• I still don't trust the Garmin.
• Mr. Accomplice has named it Gina.
• I make sure to point out when Gina is wrong. (Which is often)
• Any who, while on the boat.... There was hurricane activity or a tropical depression.
• So I got sea sick.
• Cozumel was wonderful.
• There was a Halloween party on the boat. Which would have been great if I had been notified to bring costumes.
• When we returned to New Orleans, we were almost first to get off the boat.
• On the way home we went through Houston.
• My equilibrium is still off. I feel like I'm rocking back and forth.
• How long does this last?
• I'm ready to book again. I love cruises. If you have never been on one, I would recommend trying it.
• The only down side..... I hate being on a time schedule while at a port of call.

Not There, Not Here....

• Someone I know died this morning in a car accident. He was younger than me. Please pray for his family and young children.
• After hearing the news, it made me stop and reflect.
• I've become addicted to facebook. I love the quizzes and private chats that it offers.
• I talked to my cousin for the first time in over a year. He lives in Japan because of the United States Navy.
• We made plans to visit Peru. Since I have never been.
• He has answered so many questions for me about my family.
• Mr. Accomplice has recently become addicted to bowling. So every weekend we have been bowling.
• Last night, I caught him looking at bowling balls online.
• So, I have had a hard time loosing the baby weight after Micah. I signed up for a weight loss challenge at the beginning of this month. So far I have lost 16 pounds.
• I see and feel different already. Once I reach my goal weight I will let you guys know what I was doing the whole time.
• Before I forget.. Pray for the family in Rhome who lost their baby boy in a tragic home accident last week.

Night Posting

• I took Matthew to the doctor this week because of his hearing. Last year he failed his school hearing test. He failed again at the the doctors office. So next month he will have to see a specialist.
• When he was younger he always had an ear infection. I swear that he was on medication for almost an entire year. His doctor didn't want to put tubes in his ears.
• Today I wander if that might have caused his apparent hearing loss.
• I got called a lot lizard this week.
• It kind of cracks me up. I've been called a lot of names while working with the sheriffs office..... but never lot lizard.
• Black Gold is only following one rig this season. Last year it was three.
• I admit that I have been watching Megan Wants A Millionaire. So the news about Ryan Alexander kind of shocked me this week.
• He apparently now has killed himself. They have cancelled the show.
• I'm now on facebook.
• I can't believe today is the first day back to school.
• I will be voting no in the Bridgeport School bond election.
• Denton has a indoor swimming pool facility. I think Bridgeport should consider adding that. I would support more of a wide array of sports. Instead of focusing all of it on football.

Thurday Night Nothings

• My division is receiving approx two writs of sequestration a week. Writs of sequestration are basically repo orders from a judge.
• The owner of the most recent sequestration had not made a payment for 18 months.
• I know this sweet lady personally. She needs some help from our community.
• There was a pursuit this past weekend. At lease I think it was the last weekend.
• I'm not ready for school to start.
• I hear that another rock plant is going to open in Chico soon.
• The new entrance to the plant is Just South of the Hanson plant on the west side of the road.
• I love I survived on Bio. I watch it every Sunday night after the kids are in bed.
• Check it out.
• Black Gold new season premiers next Wednesday night.

• I know I haven't blogged in a while. Life and work have gotten in the way.
• We went to Lake Whitney a couple of weekends ago. Stayed in a house boat. It was nice.
• The kids loved feeding the ducks and fish off the deck.
• The animal shelter has been in the news a lot lately.
• We had an tax auction on Tuesday. Apparently a elderly woman bought a mobile home and passed away two years later. The mobile home then sat for several years until we seized it for taxes.
• It was a nice mobile home, the neighbors took care of the property.
• I didn't know that New Orleans had gambling establishments.
• I always lose when I gamble. Is there a secret or something?
• I'm still playing softball.
• My daughters best friend moved to Chicago last year. She misses her dearly. Last month her friend came down to spend the rest of the summer with her grandparents. Tomorrow she goes home. My daughter is so upset.
• I have been listening to a lot of country music lately.
